Quote for the Day

An old man once said ...There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good. So love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living!

February 14, 2011

A Very Happy Valentines Day to all my scrap-booking and non scrap-booking friends! So good to see the snow banks melting a little bit! Our temps are going to warm up a bit here in the SW corner of Wisconsin, makes a person believe now that Spring is a Promise God will keep for another year!

Congrats to all our returning CM consultants that earned leadership conference in Cancun! What fun and we can hardly wait to hear of new developments with the Company and the scrap-booking industry!

I had a great weekend, spent some of it scrap-booking and found a new love of my own! I have 1125 photos from our wonderful trip to SD, and Wyoming last fall! What a wonderful trip, went as far as Yellowstone National Park.

Our most wonderful part was an unplanned stop at the Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary south of Hot Springs SD. It has always been my life's dream to see the Wild Mustangs in their natural habitat in the West. What a wonderful "Dream" Dayton Hyde had in his vision many years ago! We seen the most beautiful and FREE mustangs we could have imagined! I had a ton of photos just from the Wild Horse Sanctuary where up to 500 Mustangs and a herd of Spanish Mustangs run wild and free on over 11,000 acres of beautiful, rugged terrain also housing Native American sacred grounds. An experience of a lifetime! But in wanting to do something special with just those photos, I engaged the use of a Creative Memories 12x12 Quick Kit, and I fell in love with them! They have completely layered and decorated pages, 32 totaled already for you to just add your photos and additional embellishments to finsih the pages! How wonderful to have half of your work already finished for you! I am for sure that I will be utilizing many more of Creative Memories Quick Kits in my future scrap-booking! Try them! You will just love them! Look for something new in March along those lines!

I will try to include some photos of my finished album in the next few days! Memories of a wonderful trip my husband I will treasure for many years! Hubby always liked horses but now he fell in love with a Mustang named Serena, she would come right up to us and our guide offered her a bottle of water he drizzled over her nostrils! Great Memories that we can now treasure and view in our newly finished album anytime we want!

This is a photo of Dayton Hyde, the man with a vision and dream of his own, much like our own Rhonda Anderson in Creative Memories!

Have a Blessed Day!

Designer Hi-Lite-Jenny Bingham

Designer Hi-Lite-Jenny Bingham

This week we are hi-lighting the ever-so talented Jenny Bingham!

Here is what Jenny shared with us:

What do you consider your scrapbooking style?

I don't know if I have one specific style. Some days I love grunge, other days I like to do whimsy or simple. I do like to use lots of layers and little elements all over to make the pages more fun and unique.

What is your favorite Power Palette?

Lately I am really loving the Cheerful line. Lots of fun bright colors and bold graphic embellishments. It has a very fun and happy feel to it.

What is your favorite CM Tool?

Because all of my pages are digital of course my favorite tool is Storybook Creator 3.0. I think it's so great how easy it is to use for a beginner and how much it has to offer for a more advanced user.

What is your favorite technique to use on your layouts?

I just try to make sure I have layers and depth to the design. I add drop shadows to everything.

Where do you get your inspiration?

Sometimes I am inspired by a photo or photos, sometimes it is the content from a digital kit that inspires me and gets me excited to create a page. I also love to look at design blogs and galleries from digital scrapbook sites. I get a lot of inspiration from colors or things I see in the world around me.

Here is a layout that Jenny shared with us! If you like what you see, you can see other projects Jenny created here.
